How to present a good speech

Today, i’m going to demonstrate how to present a good speech.

In order to present a good speech you will need to include the following points.

1. Eye contact. Eye contact establishes a connection with your audience. A deliberate look in the eye of an audience member can communicate how much you care about their thoughts. Constant eye contact is an invitation to turn your talk into a conversation. It creates a bond between speaker and listener, a connection that is beneficial to everyone. When you look someone in the eye, they are more likely to look at you, more likely to listen to you, and more likely to buy into your message.

Eye contact Improves your concentration. A room full of people, with all the different lighting and sounds, can be very distracting. Deliberately focussing your eyes on different audience members will help calm your nerves and clear your mind. Keep your eye contact steady so you can concentrate on your message. When you look someone in the eye for three to five seconds, you will naturally slow down your speech, which will make you sound more authoritative.

Eye contact also rojects confidence. Have you ever spoken with someone who turns away their gaze every time they talk? It’s hard to believe they know what they are talking about and you might find yourself undermining what they are saying. With sustained, focused eye contact comes confidence. If you can’t look people in the eye, you can’t expect them to believe your message or agree with your point of view. Good eye contact can communicate confidence and someones opinion.

My second point which is important to include is hand gestures. People pay attention to movements and gestures during speeches. If you purposely use your body to stress a certain idea by clapping or pointing, the audience is much more likely to remember what you said. Powerful speakers use this public speaking tactic throughout their speech and it clearly works. If we are more drawn towards movements, it make us remember our experiences better. The movement draws attention to what you’re saying and draws attention to the important parts of your speech.

Hand gestures also help to highlight certain points of speech and strengthen the speaker’s message as well. And if you think about it, it makes complete sense…an active speaker leaves a much better impression on the audience than an inactive one. It wouldn’t matter how interesting your speech is on paper, without gestures, your public speaking will always be considered boring.

My third recommendation, is to use a confident voice. A speaking voice that displays confidence will give your words greater importance. Most powerful people speak slowly, pronounce clearly, and express themselves with confidence. So remember, a loud, confident speaking voice presented with an even pace will lead to a powerful and moving speech.

My last point is to have a good posture. Good body language when giving a presentation plays a huge part in so many ways for example, It helps you to feel calm & confident on the inside and look calm and confident on the outside, It demonstrates high status meaning the audience feel you have something worth listening to. It helps you to breathe easily and project your voice. when you stand with a strong presentation posture you feel calm ye and confident inside.

Finally, good posture and body language is critical to ensuring you stand up straight, open your mouth and can breathe easily. You won’t suffer from shortness of breath and you’ll add to your calm composure. A good presentation posture also leads to better voice production and projection so you don’t have to shout to be heard.
