Scene Analysis (rocket launch)

During the scene of the rocket launch, the film director purposely decided to add in parts of the audience watching it with many different angles and shots used. For example, the film director used shots such as close-ups. They zoomed in on the audience’s reactions and faces to give the people watching the movie an idea of what it would have been like. The film director also uses the long/wide camera shots to show where the audience was watching from and how far away they actually were from the rocket itself when it took off. The film director also uses intense noises such as a loud, thumping heart beating sort of noise to attract the audience’s attention and give them an idea of how nervous everybody would have been at the actual time of the rocket launch. The film director tires to make it as realistic as possible for the people watching by using real-life scenes from who the real rocket launch happened. By doing this, it makes the audience feel a sense of being there and being nervous.
